Sheila Collier

Sheila Collier, President

Sheila Collier was born in Oklahoma and has embraced Jacksonville as her home for over 37 years. Sheila's early career days were in banking, specializing in Cash/Treasury Management for over 13 years. After her days in the corporate world, she has been intentional about the giving of her time, energy and talents as a wife/mom and as a community volunteer. Over the past 37 years, Sheila has had a leadership role in a wide variety of numerous organizations, everything from the President of a Parent Association to being the 2015 Co-Chair of The Women's Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital Art & Antiques Show. Sheila is honored to be President for the Women Giving Alliance and has enjoyed serving on the Grants Leadership Team, Secretary of the Steering Committee, Governance Committee and Education Chair. Currently, Sheila is also a member The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Board of Director of the First Coast American Cancer Society (Cabinet Member of The Hope Lodge Capital Campaign), Board of Director of North Florida School of Special Education (Governance Chair) and a Jacksonville Junior League Sustainer. She is married for over 35 years to her husband, Claude and they have two children, Will and Jess. Her favorite pastime is being with friends and laughing! Sheila strongly believes that “Everyone can experience the joy and blessing of generosity; because everyone has something to give.” (Quote by Jan Grace, author of the book, “Breaking the Spirit of Poverty: Freedom to Give, Freedom to Live”).

Sabeen Perwaiz

Sabeen Perwaiz, Vice President

Sabeen Perwaiz is President & CEO of Florida Nonprofit Alliance where she strengthens, promotes and advocates on behalf of Florida’s nonprofit sector. Since joining WGA in 2015, she has served as Education Co-Chair, Delores Barr Weaver Fellow, at-large member and Vice President. An avid volunteer, she has led the all-volunteer team for TEDxJacksonville from 2012-2022. She currently serves on the board of directors of National Council of Nonprofits and The United Way of Northeast Florida. She is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville and Leadership Florida Connect. Perwaiz has been named an Aspen Ideas Scholar, Nonprofit Times top 50 national leader, Woman of Influence, Athena International Young Professional, 40 under 40 and a National Business Journal Influencer. She has also received a One Jax Humanitarian award. Sabeen earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and pre-medicine from City College of New York and her master's in International Development from the University of Birmingham in the UK. An avid traveler, Sabeen has visited over 44 countries and hopes to visit at least 100 in her lifetime.

Rachael Mueller

Rachael Mueller, Vice President

Rachael Mueller is the Chief Development Officer at Hope Haven. Rachael is passionate about creating organizational sustainability for non profits through fundraising and marketing efforts. Rachael has over 10 years experience in the nonprofit industry sector. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Flagler College and her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. Since joining WGA, she has been an active member in of the Advocacy committee. Rachael currently serves as the current past chair of the Women With Vision Council - St. John's County Chamber of Commerce, is an active board member with the Planned Giving Society of Northeast Florida, and a cabinet member with the American Lung Association. Rachael is a proud military wife with two beautiful children.

Susan Rodgers

Susan Lutton Rodgers, Secretary

Susan grew-up in a small farming community in Nebraska. After graduating from the University of Nebraska she attended Florida State University receiving a master’s degree Higher Education Administration. She moved to Jacksonville 1973 working in banking and logistics before joining Crowley Maritime Corporation. Her last position before retirement was Sr. Vice President of Corporate Services. In that role she oversaw the company’s worldwide operations for information technology, procurement, corporate communications, advertising, human resources, training and development, facilities acquisition and management and safety, environmental and health. She also served on the company’s Sr. Leadership Team. She has served on the Board of the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council holding several positions including Chair of the Board. Other Board and volunteer service includes the Jacksonville Urban League, Daniel, BEAM and the Crowley Cares Foundation. Now fully retired she pursues her passion for travel and on her bucket list is North Dakota and Antarctica, which represent the only state and the only continent she has not visited. She lives happily in Ponte Vedra Beach with her husband Ray.

Barbara Finke

Barbara Finke, Treasurer

Barbara Finke is an assurance director with BDO USA, LLP, with over 15 years in the assurance profession. Professionally she helps her clients ensure their financial processes are accurate and result in accurate reporting under the required standards, while maintaining effective business management. Within BDO, Barbara also serves as the regional co-lead for the Women’s Inclusion Initiative. Barbara considers herself a Jacksonville native, moving here as a child and returning after receiving her degrees from Florida State University. Since joining WGA, Barbara has been a member of the Finance Committee and the Grants Finance Team. Barbara also serves as Treasurer for Hubbard House, Inc. and volunteers with the grant giving finance committee for United Way of Northeast Florida.

Joni Poitier

Joni Poitier, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee Co-Chair

Joni is a partner in Moseley Prichard Parrish Knight & Jones, a law firm specializing in the preparation and trial of complex and high-risk transportation, personal injury, and business litigation in state and federal courts throughout Florida. Previously she spent six years as an Assistant State Attorney handling a wide range of criminal cases, including serious felonies and crimes against women and children. In this position, she had more than 40 jury trials as first chair. Joni received her law degree from Vanderbilt University and her B.A. from Spelman College. She is a member of many civic and charitable organizations including the Women’s Giving Alliance, the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Women’s Board, and the UNCF Northeast Florida Council. She also serves as the Vice-Chair of the Florida Elections Commission, as well as on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities Bureau, Inc., Diocese of St. Augustine. She was Chair of the board of directors for Family Foundations of Northeast Florida, Inc. until 2021. Joni is a native Floridian who grew up in Miami. She is an active member of St. Pius V Catholic Church.
