Mary Pietan

Mary Pietan, President

Mary Pietan is an active community volunteer who serves on the boards of the Garden Club of America, The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, and the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. She is also a Founding and Legacy Member of the Women's Giving Alliance, serving on the board in many capacities for the past 15 years and is active in the Late Bloomers Garden Club and a long-time member of the Book Club. Formerly, she served on the boards of Episcopal School of Jacksonville and the Baptist Health System Foundation. After the youngest of her four children went to college she worked for 17 years in development for Baptist Health System Foundation, the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens and for Profit Solutions. Mary is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.

Margaret Barton

Margaret Barton, Vice President

Margaret Barton is a Senior Personnel Research Psychologist with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. She leads projects involving the development and validation of assessments for employee selection, promotion and development purposes. Since joining WGA in 2012, she has served as Secretary, Membership Co-Chair, and a member of the Impact Team. Margaret also has served on boards/committees with Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, International Personnel Assessment Council, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Jacksonville Track Club, and Take Stock in Children (mentor). Margaret received her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Tulane University and her B.A. from Duke University.

Karen Mayfield

Karen Mayfield, Vice President

Karen Mayfield is a Senior Vice President and Client Advisor of Wealth Management of SunTrust Bank.  Born and raised in Tampa, Karen moved to Jacksonville in 1993.  She graduated cum laude from the University of Tampa with a degree in Accounting.  She successfully completed the ABA National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University with the distinction of high honors. Karen demonstrates her community leadership by serving on the following Boards: Women’s Giving Alliance; Jacksonville County Day School; Brooks YMCA and Estate Planning Council of NE FL.  She is an active member of the San Marco Rotary, Past President of Leadership Jacksonville, a Sustaining member of the Junior League of Jacksonville, member of the Financial Planning Association.  She has also served on the Board of Pine Castle as well as Chaired the Endowment of Palms Presbyterian Church.

Sheila Collier

Sheila Collier, Secretary

Sheila Markes Collier is a native of Oklahoma and has embraced Jacksonville as her home for over 32 years. For 13 years, Sheila pursued a career in banking, specializing in Cash Management and at the time she chose to finish her career she was one of the few female Vice Presidents. For 16 years, Sheila has been a member of The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital and in 2015 was Chair of the Art & Antiques Show. She currently holds a Board or leadership position with the First Coast American Cancer Society, the Women’s Giving Alliance and North Florida School for Special Education. Sheila served as Co-Chair of Hotel Logistics for the WCGN National Leadership Forum in March 2017. Before becoming Secretary, Sheila enjoyed being Chair of the Education Committee

Faith SchoenfeldFaith Schonfeld, Treasurer

Faith moved to Jacksonville from Chicago in 2014, and joined both the WGA Finance Committee and the Grants Finance Team that Fall. Her 40+ year career as a financial professional included corporate business development & lending; risk policy development & oversight; and implementing operational risk processes for a global banking business line and for the US regional operations of a Dutch bank. Women’s interests have been, and continue to be, at the heart of Faith’s n-f-p volunteer career. She was one of ten women who started up the Chicago chapter of a national women’s banking association, serving as its first Vice President, By-Laws creator, and second President. Faith was an initial member, Chair and board member of The Chicago Finance Exchange; a 5-year board member of the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago; and is an Emerita member of The Trustees Council of Penn Women, after 25 active years including co-Chair of the Grants Committee. Faith is a member of AAUW Jacksonville.
