Living a life that is balanced, happy, and satisfying can be challenging if we don’t make it a priority. With so many important things in our lives to juggle – work, family, caring for others, physical needs, leisure interests, religious beliefs and activities, being conscious about the environment, politics, and social issues – it’s more likely that we get off kilter from the demands for our time and energy than maintain an easy balance. How can we create a more balanced life? How does mindfulness meditation contribute to a steady state of balance and help us stay there? We will explore these topics with Dr. Ellen Williams, Senior Director of Behavioral Health at St. Vincent’s Healthcare and Dr. Kristen Kelley, Baptist Health, two clinical psychologists who work - and play - in Jacksonville.
