Legacy Membership: Creating A Legacy for Women & Girls

 |
"Women and girls are at the heart of WGA’s mission and mine. I chose to become a Legacy Member because I have been blessed to observe the integrity of its leaders and the thoughtfulness of its giving. How could I not?" – Crystal Freed, Legacy Member |
Since WGA’s beginning, our Members have set aside a portion of their Annual Membership to our endowment fund. Today, that fund is nearly $5 million. By joining WGA as a Legacy Member, you'll ensure women and girls in Northeast Florida are supported forever. Give today by creating a lifetime Legacy Membership or give tomorrow by establishing a planned gift. Our partner, The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, is here to help you with the details.

"Having been a member of The Women’s Giving Alliance since its second year and having observed how carefully and thoughtfully our money is used to benefit women and girls in Jacksonville, I wanted to establish a planned gift with The Community Foundation to perpetuate WGA’s mission here.” – Nancy Overton, Legacy Member |
WGA created the lifetime Legacy Membership in 2010, as we looked forward to our 10th anniversary. Legacy Members establish an individual endowed fund with a minimum gift of $25,000. Today, 84 of our Members are Legacy Members.
When you join as a Legacy Member, you ensure WGA's work continues forever. You receive a lifetime membership and all of the benefits that come with it. Each year, WGA makes a gift in your name to the grantmaking pool.
When establishing your Legacy Membership Fund, you may use a variety of assets to do so. You can spread the payments over five years to complete the endowment. If you prefer, you may create planned gifts or give by way of a bequest by will, life insurance policy, charitable gift annuity, life estate or charitable remainder trust. The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida works with your professional adviser to assist you.
