Looking to connect with like-minded women? We meet regularly to learn and grow together. Nearly all of our events are open to everyone, so feel free to bring a friend.

WGA hosts a number of events throughout the year, including:

  • Large semi-annual luncheons in the spring and fall (Member Forum and Annual Meeting)
  • Smaller educational events, lectures and panel discussions
  • Connector Group events in your neighborhood

Grants Evaluation Team Site Visit with R.E.S.T.O.R.E.

R.E.S.T.O.R.E. – Rebuilding Ex-Offenders Successfully Through Opportunities and Education is dedicated to providing safe, transitional, and affordable housing to recently incarcerated women. We hope you can join the WGA Grants Evaluation Team to tour the facility and gain a first-hand perspective of how R.E.S.T.O.R.E. is improving the lives of women in the greater Jacksonville area.

The mission of Rethreaded is to harness the power of business to create choice for 500 survivors of human trafficking by 2033. We hope you can join the WGA Grants Evaluation Team for this meaningful experience to tour the facility and gain a first-hand perspective of how Rethreaded is improving the lives of women in the greater Jacksonville area.

2023 Annual Meeting

WGA celebrates strategic collective giving and a 39% growth in membership. $8.9 million in grants and 470 strong! Learn More.

Grantee Panel: Creating Safety for Women & Girls in Crisis

During this WGA Education Event we delved into the crucial topic of fostering safety for women and girls experiencing domestic violence. Representatives from WGA grantees Betty Griffin Center, Hubbard House, Micah’s Place and Quigley House convened as a panel, exploring strategies for creating safe, secure environments and empowering survivors.

2023 Member Forum

A highlight of our recent Member Forum in May was the awarding of grants to the seleced non-profit agencies. Our 2023 grant pool of available funds was $561,600, a tribute to the generosity and commitment of our WGA members!

 

This year, grants were given for “Core Mission Funding,” in one of two areas: workforce development or client basic needs.
